The Alaska Goldeneye Project

WELCOME

The Alaska Goldeneye Project is a long-term nest box monitoring program focused on Common Goldeneye (Bucephala clangula) in Interior Alaska. Supported through partnership between UC Davis, US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska DNR, Ducks Unlimited, and the greater Fairbanks community, the project aims to advance our understanding of Common Goldeneye breeding ecology.

Furthermore, we strive to inform effective conservation and management decisions for the species, sea ducks, and other nesters of boreal forest and wetland ecosystems. Explore the site to learn more about our research and 2026 field season!
